Description

VASA TAS100 Universal High-performance Tile Adhesive is formulated using ordinary Portland cement as the inorganic binder, refined graded sand as the aggregate, and a precise blend of various polymers and functional additives. This formula has been meticulously developed to ensure strong versatility, making it suitable for the installation of a wide range of tile types. The product has obtained the China Environmental Labeling Product Certification ('Ten Rings' Certification) and the EMICODE environmental label EC1PLUS grade established by the German GEV Association. Before and after use, the product rigorously controls toxic and carcinogenic substances such as TVOC, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and benzene series compounds that affect indoor air quality and safety.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Preparation and Tools

Inspect the back of the tile for the presence of mold release agent or any other impurities that may affect tile adhesion. Ensure thorough cleaning. Prepare the following tools: electric mixer, mixing bucket, measuring cup, notched trowel, trowel, rubber mallet, level ruler, tape measure, chalk line box or laser level, tile cutter, sponge, tile spacers, and other necessary equipment.

Construction Process

· Substrate Treatment

The substrate must be solid, clean, free from oil, grease, wax stains, concrete curing agents, and other loose materials.

· Adhesive Preparation

Follow the water mixing ratio indicated on the label.

Start by adding water to the mixing bucket, then gradually incorporate the powder while stirring with an electric mixer. Mix until a consistent and lump-free texture is achieved. Allow the mixture to rest for 3-5 minutes, then re-stir for 15-30 seconds. The prepared tile adhesive should be used within 2 hours.

· Tile Paving

It is recommended to use the combined method for construction. Apply the tile adhesive thinly on the base layer with a trowel, then apply another layer of tile adhesive and comb it with a suitable notched trowel. The area of each application should not exceed 1 square meter. Then press the tile with a thin layer of adhesive on the back onto the freshly combed adhesive layer(usually between 1-5mm). Under adverse weather conditions (such as high temperature, wind) or high base layer water absorption, the tiles should be adhered as soon as possible. Before laying the tiles, use your fingers to touch the surface of the adhesive layer to check if it has skinned over; if it has not, the tiles can be laid. If it has skinned over, reapply the adhesive. The depth of the trowel teeth should consider the flatness of the working surface and the concavity and convexity of the tile back.
