Description

VASA PMC-481 Universal Primer is a water-based polymer emulsion material. When mixed with cement, it significantly enhances the performance of cement slurry. It is used for treating concrete surfaces, replacing traditional roughening procedures, and improving the adhesion between the plaster layer and the substrate. This helps to address issues such as the difficulty of plastering on smooth concrete or aerated concrete, and prevents problems like hollowing, cracking, and detachment of the plaster layer. The product can also be used independently, applied to the substrate surface to increase its strength and effectively seal it, thus improving the bonding strength of subsequent materials to the substrate.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Substrate Pre-treatment

Clean the substrate surface to remove debris and loose materials. The substrate should be solid, crack-free, and free of dust and oil stains.

Substrate Priming Operation

Dilution with water is required. Dilute VASA PMC-481 General-purpose Primer with 50%-100% water, apply 1-2 coats with a roller on the substrate. Allow the coating to dry completely before proceeding with the next step.

Substrate Roughening Operation

Do not dilute with water. Mix VASA PMC-481 General-purpose Primer with cement (preferably 42.5 ordinary Portland cement) in a 1:2 ratio to form a slurry. Apply with a hard brush or roughening roller to the substrate at a thickness of about 2mm. Allow it to harden completely before proceeding with the next step.

CAUTIONS

· Construction Temperature:5-35°C；

· Ensure that the VASA PMC-481 General-purpose Primer is completely hardened before proceeding to the next process；

· Do not add water when applying the material for the roughening process.; dilute with 50%-100% water for priming；

· Sedimentation or layering during storage is normal. Stir well before use.

Scope of Application

· Suitable for surface treatment of smooth concrete walls and new and old concrete substrates before plastering.

· Ideal for roughening treatment before tiling on high-flexibility waterproof substrates.

· Applicable for surface treatment before applying putty on plastered surfaces.

· Can be added to wall scraping materials like talcum powder, gypsum powder, and putty powder to enhance adhesion, improve workability, and prevent cracking and powdering.

· Can be added to cement mortar to improve its water retention and deformation resistance, enhancing the mortar’s flexibility and bonding strength.
