Description

Geogrid is a reinforced geosynthetic material with a regular grid pattern formed by combining tensile strip units, primarily using polymer materials as the main raw material. Its open apertures allow for the embedding of fill materials, making it widely applicable in soft foundation reinforcement treatment. YH Uniaxial geogrid is made of high molecular polymer after extruded and laminated and punched in to regular mesh before longitudinal stretching. This process makes high molecule in direct line state in oblong oval net structure with uniform distribution and high node intensity. This structure has rather high tensile strength and stretch modulus. The soil offers ideal force carrying and diffusing chain system.

Construction key pointsInstallation Requirements:
Construction Site Requirements: The site must be compacted and leveled with a horizontal surface, free from sharp protrusions.
Grid Installation: On the prepared and compacted ground, install the geogrid with their primary stress direction (longitudinal) perpendicular to the embankment axis. Ensure smooth installation without wrinkles and maintain maximum tension. Use stakes and fasteners for secure placement. The grid should preferably be continuous without joints, with manual lacing connections between sections that meet at least 20cm wide. For multi-layer installations, stagger the seams between layers. After large-scale deployment, perform comprehensive leveling adjustments. Before compaction after each soil layer is placed, manually or mechanically tighten the grids uniformly to ensure full tension in the soil.
Following geogrid installation, manually place upper fill materials and complete compaction promptly. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, then proceed with mechanical material transport, leveling,and compaction. Implement mechanical spreading and rolling from both sides toward the center, maintaining compliance with specified density requirements throughout the process.
