Application Instructions
Coverage
Approximately 2.0 kg at 1 mm per square meter (This figure is given for guidance only, as actual quantities used will vary depending on the substrate condition and surface profile on site).
Substrate preparation
Concrete, mortar, and masonry surfaces must be clean, free from grease, oil, and loosely adhering particles. Surfaces must be thoroughly saturated with water but have no standing water before the application of YHCoat-1080.
Mixing
YHCoat-1080 is supplied in pre-weighed units. Pour the entire liquid component into a clean mixing container. While mixing at low speed, water can be added, but the quantity should not exceed 15% of the liquid volume. Slowly add the powder component to the liquid and continue mixing for a few minutes until a creamy, lump-free consistency is achieved. The mixture has a pot life of 2 hours.
Detailing
All inside and outside corners should be rounded into circular arcs. Apply an additional coat over pipe ends, cracks, drains, and wall/floor intersections. Install polyester reinforcing fabric and apply YHCoat-1080 in 2-3 coats to ensure the fabric is thoroughly penetrated without folds or edge warping.
Coating Application
Apply YHCoat-1080 first to vertical surfaces, then to horizontal surfaces. While the substrate is damp but free of standing water, apply the coating using a brush, roller, or squeegee in 2-3 coats. Allow each coat to cure before applying the next, and ensure each coat is applied at a right angle to the previous one. The film thickness must be a minimum of 1.5 mm for horizontal surfaces and 1.2 mm for vertical surfaces. The YHCoat-1080 membrane must cure for 1-2 days, which may be longer in wet condition.
Cleaning
Clean all tools and application equipment with clean water immediately after use. Any hardened or cured material can only be removed mechanically.
