Recently, OYH partnered with the UK-based Building Research Establishment (BRE) to conduct a Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) for two of its self-developed HDPE waterproofing membrane products. This collaboration led to a significant milestone: obtaining China’s first Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) under BRE’s global certification system. The EPD certificate provides detailed, quantifiable insights into the products' environmental impact across their entire lifecycle, including raw material production, transportation, manufacturing, demolition, and recycling. It offers reliable, science-based data for enterprises and buyers, supporting informed decision-making.

As a Type III standardized environmental declaration based on lifecycle assessments, EPDs have become a critical reference for global procurement of low-carbon and eco-friendly products. To meet market demand and enhance the green, low-carbon performance of its offerings, OYH conducted comprehensive data collection, analysis, and evaluation for the "PMH-3040 High-Density Polyethylene Self-Adhesive Waterproofing Membrane" and "PMH-3040Plus High-Density Polyethylene Self-Adhesive Waterproofing Membrane," in accordance with EN15804:2012+A2:2019 standards. Finally, these products achieved international EPD certification following a rigorous audit by BRE experts.

Both certified products feature a specially formulated high-density polyethylene (HDPE) film as the primary waterproofing layer, combined with a polymer self-adhesive layer, anti-adhesive weather-resistant coating, barrier film, and other multi-layer components. These products deliver exceptional performance attributes, including high tensile strength, puncture resistance, water resistance, durability, corrosion resistance, antibacterial properties, and non-toxicity. The self-adhesive layer and anti-adhesive weather-resistant coating react with liquid concrete to form a seamless integration, effectively reducing water seepage risks and significantly enhancing the reliability and safety of the waterproofing system. Additionally, the PMH-3040Plus product includes a pre-applied adhesive strip on its underside, enabling “adhesive-to-adhesive” edge bonding. This design offers greater flexibility during installation, ensuring robust adhesion even in challenging conditions such as rain, underwater environments, or low temperatures.

Since their launch, these products have been widely utilized in various domestic and international projects, earning widespread trust and recognition from the market and clients for their outstanding performance.
